Minor Battlefield 3 Patch Coming

A minor Battlefield 3 patch for PC players is set to release in a few hours. The patch will fix a few issues that have not been noted by many players at all. The patch also adds Ivy Bridge support for Battlefield 3 and brings improvements for the Radeon 7000 series.

Fixes for two reproducible client crashes:
Operation Firestorm- Conquest Large – Fixed a client crash when users spawn in certain vehicles.

Canals - Rush – Fixed a client crash at the 2nd set of mcoms if the player drives a vehicle into the vicinity of the exploding rocket battery.

AMD Radeon 7xxx series performance improvements

This minor fix is releasing on the 14th February, 8AM UT. This download will be via Origin.


If you play Battlefield 3 often, then you're probably asking yourself where the real Battlefield 3 patch is. DICE didn't offer anymore information up other than: "we have several ongoing developments with regards to balance and gameplay, performance, stability and the overall feature set that will be announced in the coming weeks." So yes, the highly anticipated BF3 patch is on it's way, it's just a matter of when.

I like riding MAVs so its not really a concern. Dice has already hinted at a change there though.

What I'd really like to hear about is the next round of DLCs.
